Atukorale's dwarf toad
Endemic Amphibians in Sri Lanka
Family : Bufonidae
Scientific Name : Bufo atukoralei




Snout-vent length of mature males 21.2-26.6 mm, gravid females 27.5-34.9 mm. Head broader than long.Recorded from both the wet zone and the dry zones (which includes the arid zone) up to 150 m alt., especially the coastal belt in western and southern Sri Lanka.

Scientific Name : Ichthyophis pseudangularis




Mature males 198-308 mm, gravid females 199-314 mm in length from snout to tip of tail. Head small, bluntly pointed, narrower than body. Eyes tencular openings and nostrils distinct. Can find in Forested areas of south of Sri Lanka up to 1525 m.

Scientific Name : Polypedates cruciger



Snout-vent length of mature males 50.0-59.8mm, gravid females 72.0-90.0 mm. Head length greater than or equal to head width. Colour, greenish-brown, dark brown or yellowish orange. Occurs throughout Sri Lanka in both dry and wet zone up to 1525 m.

Scientific Name : Rana gracilis






Snout-vent length of mature males 32.3-53.7 mm, gravid females 53.5-67.6 mm, Head longer than broad. Colour in life, dorsally pinkish light brown. Semi-arboreal. Found in wet and dry zones up to 460 m.
